Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Chimter, the meme-creation app and website ("Chimter", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using Chimter, you agree to these Terms.
1. Using Chimter
You must be at least 13 years old to use Chimter. You're responsible for the activity on your account and for keeping your login details secure. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
2. Your content
You keep ownership of the photos, captions, and memes you upload or create ("Your Content"). By posting or sharing Your Content through Chimter, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to host, store, and display it back to you and to whoever you choose to share it with, solely to operate the service.
You're responsible for Your Content and for making sure you have the rights to use any photo, image, or likeness you upload. Don't upload content that infringes someone else's copyright, violates their privacy, or that you don't have permission to use.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to use Chimter to:
- Create or share content that is illegal, hateful, harassing, or that depicts violence
- Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with anyone
- Upload malware, or attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to Chimter
- Use automated tools to scrape or abuse the service outside of normal use
We may remove content or restrict accounts that break these rules.
4. Intellectual property
The Chimter name, logo, app, and underlying software are owned by us and protected by intellectual property law. These Terms don't grant you any rights to our trademarks or branding beyond what's needed to use the service normally.
5. Service changes
We're always improving Chimter, which means features may change, be added, or be removed over time. We'll try to give notice of changes that materially affect how you use the service.
6. Disclaimers & liability
Chimter is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. To the extent permitted by law, we aren't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.
7. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll let you know through the app or by updating the date at the top of this page.
